Shim pack coupling is an elastic coupling that compensates for shaft deviation (axial, radial, angular displacement) and transmits torque through the deformation of multiple layers of metal or non-metal gaskets (elastic elements).

1. Metal diaphragm group: composed of multiple stainless steel or alloy steel thin sheets stacked together, fixed on both ends of the shaft sleeve by bolts, and utilizing the flexible deformation of the diaphragm to absorb displacement.

1. Torque requirement: It is necessary to calculate the rated torque and instantaneous overload torque (safety factor is usually taken as 1.5-2).
   

2. Shaft diameter and aperture: Ensure matching with equipment shaft diameter, with tolerance controlled at H7 level.
   

3. Environmental adaptability: High temperature environments require the selection of heat-resistant alloy film sheets; Stainless steel material is preferred in corrosive media.

Key points for installation and maintenance

1. Requirement for alignment: Despite strong compensation capability, it is still necessary to control radial deviation ≤ 0.1mm and angular deviation ≤ 0.5 ° during initial installation.
   

2. Bolt tightening: Use a torque wrench to tighten according to standards to avoid uneven force on the diaphragm assembly.
   

3. Regular inspection: Monitor membrane fatigue cracks or bolt looseness, and it is recommended to conduct a comprehensive inspection every 5000 hours.
