The GICL drum gear coupling is a high-performance transmission device component. The GICL drum shaped gear coupling belongs to the rigid flexible coupling, consisting of internal gear rings with the same number of teeth and flange half couplings with external teeth. Its core feature is that its outer teeth are designed as drum shaped teeth, that is, the outer teeth are made into spherical surfaces, with the center of the spherical surface on the gear axis, and the tooth side clearance is larger than that of ordinary gears.

  • Compensation capability: The GICL crown gear coupling has the ability to compensate for radial, axial, and angular axis deviations, and can adapt to various displacements and deviations generated during equipment operation.

  • Strong load-bearing capacity: Compared to spur gear couplings, drum gear couplings have a 15% to 20% increase in load-bearing capacity and a 50% increase in allowable angular displacement. This makes the GICL drum shaped gear coupling particularly suitable for low-speed heavy-duty working conditions, such as metallurgy, mining, lifting and transportation industries.

  • High transmission efficiency: Due to the design of the drum shaped teeth improving the contact conditions of the teeth, reducing stress concentration and tooth surface wear, the transmission efficiency of the GICL drum shaped gear coupling is as high as 99.7%.

  • Low noise: The design of the drum shaped teeth effectively reduces the noise during the operation of the coupling and improves the working environment.

  • Long maintenance cycle: GICL drum toothed couplings have a long service life and maintenance cycle, reducing equipment maintenance costs.

GICL couplings come in various models and specifications to meet the needs of different equipment. Its model usually starts with GICL, followed by numbers indicating different specifications and parameters. For example, the GICL1 type coupling has specific technical parameters such as nominal torque and allowable speed.

GICL drum tooth couplings are widely used in shaft transmission of various types of machinery, especially suitable for situations that require significant torque and displacement deviation. GICL drum toothed couplings play an important role in heavy industries such as metallurgy, mining, lifting and transportation, petrochemicals, and steel rolling machinery.

This includes checking the wear of the coupling, lubrication status, and whether the fasteners are loose.
