The XL star shaped coupling is mainly composed of two half couplings and a polyurethane (or engineering plastic) elastomer. The elastic body is limited by convex claw blocks, which can avoid internal deformation caused by impact and external deformation caused by centrifugal force. The large concave design of the convex claw reduces the surface pressure on the involute teeth, so even if the teeth are overloaded, they will not wear or deform.
The XL star shaped coupling has the ability to compensate for relative displacement between two axes, including axial displacement, radial displacement, and angular displacement, making it suitable for various situations that require displacement compensation. Due to the presence of elastomers, XL star couplings have excellent buffering and shock absorption performance, which can protect the transmission system from the effects of impact and vibration. When using XL star couplings, the following points should be noted:
Ensure the coaxiality of the two half couplings to avoid excessive displacement that may cause damage to the couplings.
