High speed gear coupling is a precision mechanical component specifically designed for high-speed transmission systems. Its dynamic performance is not only related to the speed, but also closely related to the rotational inertia and torsional stiffness of the coupling, which directly affect the response speed and stability of the transmission system.
From a thermodynamic perspective, high-speed operation produces significant frictional heat effects, therefore, excellent heat dissipation design is the key to high-speed gear couplings. Common heat dissipation methods include forced oil cooling, air cooling, and the use of special thermal conductive materials. Improper temperature control can lead to thermal deformation, which in turn can alter the backlash between teeth, affect transmission accuracy, and even cause malfunctions.
