Steel Ball Toothed Coupling

Steel Ball Toothed Coupling

The Steel Ball Toothed Coupling is usually composed of an inner ring gear, an outer sleeve (with steel ball gear), and other connecting components. The tooth profile design on the outer gear sleeve is unique, similar to the shape of a steel ball or drum. This design helps improve the contact conditions of the teeth, enhance the ability to transmit torque, and allow for larger angular displacement. The inner gear ring and outer gear sleeve transmit torque and rotational motion through gear meshing.

Steel Ball Toothed Coupling

During operation, the two shafts of the steel ball toothed coupling experience relative displacement, and the tooth surfaces of the inner and outer teeth periodically slide axially relative to each other. This sliding transmission of torque also allows for a certain degree of angular displacement and axial displacement compensation between the two shafts. Due to the design of the tooth profile, the coupling has better stability and durability when transmitting high power and torque.

Performance advantages

  1. High load-bearing capacity: The steel ball toothed coupling can withstand large torque and axial force, making it suitable for heavy-duty conditions.

  2. Strong angular displacement compensation capability: Its unique tooth profile design allows for larger angular displacements, which helps improve the alignment performance of the shaft system.

  3. Stable and reliable work: Due to the tight meshing of the teeth, the transmission of torque is stable, and it has a certain buffering and vibration reduction effect.

  4. Widely applicable: Widely used in industries such as metallurgy, mining, petrochemicals, building materials, lifting and transportation, and also suitable for situations that require high-precision and high-speed transmission.

Precautions

  1. Lubrication and sealing: To ensure the normal operation of the steel ball toothed coupling, it is necessary to maintain good lubrication and sealing conditions to reduce tooth wear and power loss.

  2. Installation and adjustment: During installation and adjustment, it is necessary to ensure that the concentricity and axial clearance of the two shafts meet the design requirements to avoid vibration and noise caused by misalignment.

  3. Regular inspection and maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the steel ball toothed coupling, including the wear of the tooth surface, lubrication status, and fastening of the connecting components, to ensure its long-term stable operation.
